First thing, we would like to say thank you to our loving Nor-Cal Sacr’s!!! You have helped to start off the new stores with a bang! And we love you for it!!!

Second thing is this Holiday is going to be insane! We can’t share with you what the Friday after Thanksgiving sale is going to be quite yet, but TRUST me when I say it’s going to be EPIC!!! Both of our Bay Area Locations, Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, and Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton, will be opening at 7am with major door busting deals. Store #31 IS NOW OPEN AT STONERIDGE MALL, IN PLEASANTON CA. That’s right, we are ever expanding, even in a bad economy. We are a company that makes it happen no matter what. It all started with the unloading of the first pallet of frieght at 7am on a Friday morning….

Now at this point we ran into a little snag…. As I brought the product into the store, I was greeted by the painters and flooring guys still doing construction on the store. Now this is Friday 7/31/10 and we open on Friday 8/6/10, so I did what LoveSac does best, and made it happen, because with only a week left to build the store before it’s scheduled to open, we couldn’t waste any time.

So, who is really in who's way?......

So I press on, unloading the frieght, putting it anywhere I can get it to fit. Grand total that day there was 17 pallets reaching a total weight of over 3000 lbs. Now what I am about to say sounds like I’m bragging a little, well yes I am bragging alittle. I had to become a 1 man army and move all of this product myself. I felt pretty awesome, and tough after getting done, which this picture clearly points out.

Well from that point it just became a matter of opening Sactionals, fluffing Sacs, and laying out the show room. We had a great team of people from LoveSac HQ come out to help get this done. Which I have no pictures of…… Yeah I know, totally lame of me…… But I want to say thanks to Torrin (lead merch),Alex,  Brian, and Charlie from the retail team, Ezra from events, and Shawny D himself, for coming out for the opening. The hardest, of Hardcore Sacr's, Keri, first in line at 8am for the Grand Opening!!

So the week of July 6th was the official kick off of Manager Fest twenty10! During this week of festivities we started working right after we got off the plane with fun power points and room planning exercises/competition thanks to Chief Sac (which my team won) that kept us up past 1 in the morning. 

 Day 2 started at 5:45 am thanks to Drill Sargent Rhodeen with a jog through Boston Commons, but it was well worth it! That park was amazing w/ the statues and surroundings of the old style buildings. It was great to get out and see the city. 

To add to the amazing FREE trip,  we were able to spend the day at The Harvard University taking a FREE class. During this class we had our CEO, Chief Sac, and everyone important involved with LoveSac teaching us about where our company is headed. Let me tell you the future is bright and it is coming quick! with 10 more stores opening this year alone and 20 more set to open next year across the nation, just goes to show people LoveSac. Recessions are for Hustlers and we are doing big things! After a long day of getting a Harvard education, we called it day after 15 hours. 

Due to lack of sleep (5 hours in 4 days) I can’t tell you what we did the next day up until 5 pm when we did our annual scavenger hunt! We went around the city letting people know we are LoveSac and we are going to make it rain!!! 

For being 4 foot nothing little D stands out! 

HQ thought it would be funny to pull up to some random spot in the middle of the city and kick all of the managers scatter out of the bus like we were breaking out of jail! From there, the hunt was on!

Last, but not least and the main reason we had a chance to take this amazing trip was to help our fellow long time SacR Chris Stringham aka C-String(Boston Market Manager) open the 2nd store for his market and #29 for the company!

I hope you all enjoyed reading about my adventure to the East Coast! I will say this, Boston is the best city on the East I have been to, minus the humidity I love it there!
